This is because someone has a full mailbox who subscribes to the list, the MTA that is handling their ISP thinks the mail came directly from you to them and sends you the notification. You will often see a similar problem with people who don't disable their mailing list subscriptions when they go on vacation or a business trip so you get an "away" message from them. Most mailing lists I get two or three every time I send a message.
