i'm investingating the possibilities of XINETD now because of it:
        - per-interface setup of services (read TELNET for LAN-only!)
        - handy logging facilities
        - much more!

i haven't a clue about the ucspi-tcp (tcpserver), or dnscache
or djbdns ... yet ... but they're next on my list.
