Hi, I am trying to install Oracle 8i on a Debian box and even though I have followed the directions to the tee, I keep recieving the same error when I try to run the "./runInstaller" command. This is the error I am recieving:
Initializing Java Virtual Machine from /usr/local/jre/bin/jre. Please wait... Error in CreateOUIProcess(): -1 : Bad address I have had success installing Oracle 8i on a RedHat box, but I don't like Redhat! So can someone give me some advice. Thanks! James E. Grant
