Anyone got dual headed Matrox G400 working with X (in dual head mode)? It seems that XFree86 4.0 doesn't yet support this directly, but I was hoping to use the linux frame buffer support to do it.
Here's what I've done: * Install XFree86 4.0 debs, * Install Linux 2.4.0-test7. * Insert all the modules for the frame buffer console, and I have /dev/fb0 and /dev/fb1 both working. I can run fbi (image viewer), fbtv (video4linux viewer) etc. * Got X running on /dev/fb0 on the primary monitor -- but unless I put the BusID line in the Device section, I just get a blank picture. But because of the BusID thing, if I put the same busid for the second device, it ignores it. So the second display is never used. (I have a screenlayout section). Any ideas? thanks, Hamish (please cc: me on any replies) -- Hamish Moffatt VK3SB <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
