I'll borrow some RAM from someone at work, and also check out the memory test programs when I get home. If that is the problem, I hope my warrantee covers RAM... What you say makes it scarier: I just remembered my trouble with installing packages. When doing my net-install of Potato, I had some packages that wouldn't install. I finally deleted the .debs, and re-tried a few times until it worked.
