Out of curiosity, should I have CONFIG_KMOD on or off when configuring kernel 2.2.17? I have CONFIG_MODULES=y. Is CONFIG_KMOD the same sort of thing? I guess I've always assumed that if I use modules, I should have a way for the kernel to load them.
