I recently bought a Creative Labs PCI128 OEM. It has the ES1371 chipset which is an option in kernel config. It was a snap to set up in linux, and it has been working great. I got it at www.bunta.com for $30US. I highly, highly recommend that company. Their prices are reasonable and they usually ship that day. On the other hand, you could search for this soundcard at www.pricewatch.com and take your chances with the cheapest company. There are certainly better soundcards that are compatible with linux, but if you are budget-conscious but you still want a quality card, I can recommend this one.
