It's possible to mount your Windows partition with all the files set with whatever ownership/permissions you want. You can put the settings in /etc/fstab, but I can't find the appropriate settings in fstab's manpages.. I think you can do it in Linuxconf though, though I haven't tried Linuxconf under Debian yet.
