Hi all I am trying to make a new boot disk for a Woody system on a Toshiba Satellite. I run mkboot, and all looks good...except when I try to use the disk it just freezes.
When I first installed debian (slink) I had to use a tecra rescue disk. Does this mean that mkboot won't work? I have also tried to just copy my kernel image on to a disk, but when I do that I can't log in--root is not recognised as a user (there are some PAM errors to that effect) Suggestions would be much appreciated TIA Richard
