I actually purge ae, I pretty much hate that #!^*~+ยด editor, and I have removed nvi for vim (vi deluxe), and am very happy.
Midnight Commander can also use $EDITOR and $PAGER, which makes it a lot nicer ... Regards Morten -- UNIX, reach out and grep someone!
