Hello, I had starting troubles with my HP840c printer and looked around at google and there was a link to www.linuxprinting.org. There's a driver for your printer: http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_driver.cgi?driver=pnm2ppa
Then install cups and kde support apt-get install cupsys apt-get install kdelibs3-cups Then start a browser and surf to http://localhost:631 and add your printer.
