What is wrong?
To add to the mystery, I did "/etc/init.d/exim stop" to kill the exim daemon, and then tried sending a test message. The message was sent successfully, with a similar message to the above!! So what did it? It wasn't the exim daemon. I'm reasonably sure it wasn't inetd. What else is there though???? Some how exim is being activated when sending an email --- and this activation still uses the old configuration. Anyone know what's happening??
