I had a problem at one time with one of the font definition files distributed with either gv or ghostscript being corrupted. Literally some binary barfage in the middle of a text file. I fixed it manually, notified the package manager, and Peter Deutsch. IIRC it was a font that he doesn't include by default, problem happened downstream.
