Also, it may be a dual boot windows/linux machine, which makes /dev/hda10 only the 6th partition. least that's how it works on mine /dev/hda1 (doze) /dev/hda5 (linux) /dev/hda6 (var) /dev/hda7 (home) /dev/hda8 (swp)
