use english, please .. translating for not-italian speakers
i've installed debain on a 4GB HD. on the same disk win98 is installed. my problem is when i log in, the desktop is ok, but when i pull down menus, there is nothing, just black stripes. and i can't read anything. -- sorry, i can't help with this. if linux start in VGA mode, i have no problem, except i can't mount floppy or cdrom. can you help me please? -- can you give us more details? what do you do to mount floppy/cd's? which error do you read, if any? during installation, it didn't ask for hardware components specs. thank you very much for your help Marco Frattola (S3 - Sviluppo Software e Sistemi) - Cubecom S.p.A.
