-------- I compiled my kernel with scsi tape and scsi cdrom built in. When I boot I see the LUNs and the message indicates that the tape is /dev/nst0 and the cdrom /dev/sr0 (or something similar) but these devices are not present in /dev. Is there a way to create them? What do I need to do in order to mount these devices?
