I know it should work and that's what's buggering me! When I try with the SVGA server all I draw is a blank. The screen turns black and after a few seconds the monitor seems to go into power saving mode. I kill the server (Ctrl-Alt-Backspace) and the monitor comes back to live (the screen gets a bit blacker, that's how I can tell) and then gives me the console again. For reference: XFree86 Version 3.3.6 / X Window System (protocol Version 11, revision 0, vendor release 6300) Release Date: January 8 2000 If the server is older than 6-12 months, or if your card is newer than the above date, look for a newer version before reporting problems.
