I've been having a long, long series of kernel oopses since mid-January, which I've just had suggested might be the result of compiling with GCC 2.95 rather than 2.7.3 or EGCS 1.1.
Checking packages, I'm finding a gcc272 package, and EGCS something or other (sorry, it didn't register). I'm installing gcc272 now. Is there a way of setting a preference with make-kpkg for using gcc272 over gcc? Has anyone else had random kernel strangeness with gcc 2.9.5? TIA -- Karsten M.
