Well, Lynx will show graphics if you select them (using whatever viewer you have set up for that MIME type -- ImageMagick on my box). If you want a text-mode viewer that handles frames and tables better than Lynx, you might try links or w3m. I find that for many purposes kfm (from KDE) is a better, faster web browser than Netscape Navigator.
