Hi everyone,
Has anyone tried to use a DVD RAM drive with Linux? The SCSI
version seems a nice idea, they take a 5.2 GByte double sided disk costing
around 22 GBP (UK pounds). The drives cost about 389 GBP, have resonable
access times (120mS DVD-RAM, 85mS DVD-ROM and CDROM) and will read most
of the standard CD formats. Point is, could one use this as an ext2 file
system under Linux or does the thing depend on Windoze drivers. I was
thinking of the Panasonic LFD103.

Best regards JohnG
