Hi folks Has anybody an idea how to convince Netscape (I use the newest package from the frozen tree - communicator-smotiv-472) to display TrueDoc fonts. The Netscape splash-screen tells me that the TrueDoc plugin was in the package but Netscape doesn't show it when I call up the FontDisplayers dialog.
I know this problem has already been reported to the debian buglist, but obviously the maintainer hasn't taken care so far. Netscape/TrueDoc write something about Netscape not finding a special library in their FAQ, so I've taken a look at the different directories the package sets up. Hell what a mess! I'm sure there's some kind of strategy behind it all, but it remains hidden to me. I also once tried to "find" the library, but it seems that the debian package doesn't even install it. Has anybody also had that problem? Richard By the way... is there any way to tell X to do font antialiasing? Or ist there a generic font server that all applications can use. Afaik every major application takes a different approach (Netscape/StarOffice/Applix)...
