If you intend to use the 486 as a X-terminal and run the programs on the
pentium I can't se why speed would be a problem. Not that I have done such a
thing (yet), but as for what I have read (various HOWTOs) it would even work
with a 386 with as little as 4 Mb RAM (I would love to try that one:-).
