Quoth Jonathan Lupa, > That sounds just geeky enough to work. :) I just love the effect you get when people walk past my workstation at work and say "hey, cool... how did you do that?" :)

Bloody yanks... :) Have a look at http://freshmeat.net, there are quite a few there. I use one called gcr (I think), which includes a deb at it's home page (but last I looked, wasn't included in the distribution). It's in python, so uses python regexps to identify the bits to colour. Attached is the theme file that I use. Put it in ~/.Eterm/xconsole, and call the Eterm with "--theme xconsole" (you'll probably have to modify the positioning depending on the size of your screen). I personally have had a bit of trouble under sawmill (my WM of choice) when the window is titleless, but that's the prefered way to do it (it works fine on my bleeding-edge potato box at work...). cheers, damon -- Damon Muller ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) / It's not a sense of humor. * Criminologist / It's a sense of irony * Webmeister / disguised as one. * Linux Geek / - Bruce Sterling - Running Debian GNU/Linux: Doing my bit for World Domination (tm) -
