I hope these rumours are true - my mainthing is 3d/anims and the wide use of these proprietary codecs is a right pain if you're not running M$ - which I don't. Perhaps this implies that they may have licenced the codecs to Commercial Linux developers, which could mean some new s/w in the pipe-line. This would fit with the increased interest in Linux by some of the 3d houses - the new Vn of the s/w I currently use (on Amiga) is going to be released on Linux(x86). k> k> On Tue, Feb 22, 2000 at 12:14:51PM -0700, pplaw wrote: k>> debs, k>> k>> is there a linux viewer (debian or otherwise) to play video clips in k>> mpeg or real player format? k>> k>> ia, t. k>> k>> bentley taylor. k>> k>> // k>> k>> k>> -- k>> Unsubscribe? mail -s unsubscribe k>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] < /dev/null k>> k> Bye, LeeE -- http://www.spatial.freeserve.co.uk ...or something.
