In slink in /etc/gdm, in gdm.conf, under the section DAEMON where it calls for USER and GROUP==I get the message that the Gnome Display manager can't find the USER. gdm.conf had USER=nobody, GROUP=daemon right out of the box. I want to change it so it doesn't conflict with xdm. So, what user do I put there for USER? Dumb question, but I don't know what to do. Thanks, stevw w
