Okay, I am having the worst problems with GTK+. I was trying to get GTK-- (a c++ wrapper for GTK+) to work, but I screwed my Debian Slink all up (luckily you were able to help me). So I decided to try this other wrapper (VDK) but I'm having more dependancy issues. Here they are:
(Reading database ... 44537 files and directories currently installed.) Preparing to rplace libvdk1 1.0.2-1 (using libvdk1_1.0.2-1_i386.deb) /* this is from my previous attempts at installing */ Unpacking replacement libvdk1 ... dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of libvdk1: libvdk1 depends on libgtk1.2 (>= 1.2.6-1); however: Version of libgtk1.2 on system is 1.2.6-0.slink.0. libvdk1 depends on xlib6g (>= 3.3.5-1); however: Version of xlib6g on system is 3.3.2.3a-11. dpkg: error processing libvdk1 (--install): dependency problems - leaving unconfigured Errors were encountered while processing: libvdk1 I just upgraded my system with the most up-to- date libraries I could find (in the unstable section of debian.org) Do I just have to wait for potato to come out, or is their a way to get these libs now? Thanks, Cameron Matheson
