It seems to be important for free software to have a name that cannot be 
authoritatively pronounced in English.  Debian is not a bad name for this but 
it does qualify.  Gnu, Gnome, Linux and SuSE are positively heroic in the 
impossibility of consensus on how to pronounce them.

Naturally, the poor saps at KDE didn't get it right.  Any fool can say KDE :-()
