Extraneous endif on make-kpkg

I'm trying to "make-kpkg clean" from within my
/usr/src/linux directory and I'm getting the following
error:
/usr/share/kernel-package/rules:430: *** extraneous
`endif'.  Stop.

Anyone have a clue what's happening?
