oops it does appear that I have this file after all: /usr/src/kernel-source-2.2.14/include/linux/modversions.h /usr/src/kernel-source-2.2.14/include/config/modversions.h /usr/i486-linuxlibc1/include/linux/modversions.h A symlink would seem to be the solution, but not all these copies of the file modversions.h are the same (they are different sizes).
