I've been recommending the purchase of CyberPower UPSes on this list for use in dumb-mode with the powstatd package.
Mary Honeycutt posted here a few days ago about getting powstatd to work with the new line of UPS from CyberPower, the PowerSL. It appears that the new model doesn't run their PowerPanel Plus software, but rather a new version named simply PowerPanel. They don't work with powstatd eother. Alberto Segre, the author of powstatd, is in contact with CyberPower and thinks he'll be able to able them in a future version. So the version of powstatd that will be released in potato will likely not support the PowerSL series of UPSes from CyberPower.
