i had a strange problem last night i am in the process of setting up a website for a customer with a very complex directory structure and 2 of the accounts belong to 32 groups, but when i try to ftp in(to the latest proftpd pre9 i believe?) it gives write access denied to some of the directories, using a shel it works, and when i switched over to the openbsd ftpd (i finally found it in the netstd package) it worked fine, so i know the problem is in proftpd.
anyone else had similar experiences, and does anyone know how difficult(or if its possible) to increase the max groups beyond 32 ? (without heavy modifications i dont want to risk screwing my main server up) nate ----------------------------------------[mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ]-- Vice President Network Operations http://www.firetrail.com/ Firetrail Internet Services Limited http://www.aphroland.org/ Everett, WA 425-348-7336 http://www.linuxpowered.net/ Powered By: http://comedy.aphroland.org/ Debian 2.1 Linux 2.0.36 SMP http://yahoo.aphroland.org/ -----------------------------------------[mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ]-- 11:26am up 140 days, 23:24, 2 users, load average: 1.82, 1.61, 1.59
