Relax ... the packaging system has a mechanism to ensure that dpkg knows which files are cofiguration files. These are not overwritten. Some packages might say an updated default conf is available, and they will stop and ask you what to do during the update. Any conf file overwriting is classed as a bug. -- Regards, Paul
