Install the gs-aladdin package. It has the hpdj driver compiled in with it(ftp://ftp.sbs.de/pub/graphics/ghostscript/pcl3/pcl3.html). When you install the gs-aladdin package read the gs-hpdj man page. I use it and the magicfilter package with my hpdj660C and it works great. You will need to write a filter file to set the options to use with ghostscript. I just have different printers defined in my printcap for draft, color, etc. I can email some examples via private mail or to list if others want. It would be nice if a print spooler(maybe lprng does I don't know) would accept command line options similiar to the mount command that just get passed on to the filter. This would allow one filter to control different output quality. -- Brian Servis -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mechanical Engineering | Never criticize anybody until you Purdue University | have walked a mile in their shoes, [EMAIL PROTECTED] | because by that time you will be a http://www.ecn.purdue.edu/~servis | mile away and have their shoes.
