Looks like you upgraded to the 2.2 kernel.  Read
/usr/src/linux/Documentation/devices.txt (what you're looking for is
at the end).  

If you don't have the kernel sources (just grabbed a 2.2 image), mail
me off-list and I'll send you that file.
