I have installed Debian 2.1 off of an official CD. I chose the devel_comp package of software and everything installed. But when I type "startx" or "xinit" at the shell prompt, I get an error message informing me of a fatal server error. Specifically, it says that there wasn't a config file found! It tried looking in /etc/X11/XF86Config /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XF86Config.home /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XF86Config
but didn't find anything. I thought that maybe the file had not installed but couldn't find it in dselect. Can someone give me some ideas on what is happening here and how I can get X-Windows running? Thanks, Bryan Walton
