For everybody's information, I could solve this problem by the following line to the Rewrite section of /etc/exim.conf: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] F (Rewrite usel@ to osk@ in envelope From fields.) Most dialup/dynamicIP/smarthost-using users should be aware that this is necessary if their local username differs from their smarthost username, or else error mails will be sent to someone else!
