Hi! I'm having problems with gdm in potato.
Yesterday I installed a minimal slink system, then upgraded it to the latest potato/unstable with apt-get, then installed the gnome packages, X, windowmaker, etc. Everything seems to work fine, not gdm though. The /etc/init.d/gdm script starts upp the X server (XF86_SVGA, which is configured and works fine with startx), but no gdm window pops up, it's just a "blank" X screen. Anyone knows what could be wrong? What is the prefered way to do a clean potato install? Update from a fresh installed minimal slink, or what? /Marcus
