Hi there. I'm just curious as to why this is.
When dialing up to an ISP with a windows machine, DNS servers are assigned. When using "pppd call provider" on a debian box (or any linux box) a connection is made, but no DNS servers are automatically found. Why is this? Why do i have to manually put in DNS servers in my resolv.conf file when windows box automatically find those values?
