By a combination of wild keystrokes I seem to have asked Dselect to remove a number of required packages, my problem is that I can`t seem to find out how to reset it so that it just displays the current situation with nothing to install or remove. I would imagine that this is possible and I haven`t read the documentation properly but I can`t find the answer.
