I would not use 2.2.10, it has some file corruption and tcp/ip bugs in it. The latest is 2.2.12 which fixes these. Debian's policy is to NOT link /usr/include/{asm,linux} to the kernel source. In fact the kernel docs do not mention this anymore as well.
