I have the same sort of thing happening to me (debian-potato, kernel 2.2.0, smbfs 2.0.5a). What I've found is that you can clear the bogus mount by using plain ol' 'umount' instead of smbumount. Then, once cleared, the smbmounts work. Jim Russell Crypto Engineer LockStar, Inc. day++; dollar++;
