I am desperately trying to insert a z with caron (it looks like this:

into an emacs buffer. I got some hints and have been told that I need
emacs 20. I see there is emacs-czech, but its only for emacs 19...
Could someone tell me what packages I need and what I have to do then
to insert this character into my emacs buffer?
