Yes, in fact the CD that was released with the first printing of that book (which I believe is the only printing so far) is indeed faulty! I think the problem is simply that it's the wrong disc (disc 2 rather than disc 1). In any case, if you go to http://www.newriders.com/debian/badcd.html you can get instructions on how to get a new CD. It's a very simple procedure and I believe they just got the new CDs in (mine showed up in the mail yesterday) so you should get a replacement fairly quickly. Mike
