Don't know how you converted the system. But when the program is complaining missing some files, you can always do:
shao:/home/shao$ dpkg -S libXpm.so.4 xpm4g: /usr/X11R6/lib/libXpm.so.4.10 xpm4g: /usr/X11R6/lib/libXpm.so.4 So, have tried to install the package xpm4g??
