Yes, you experienced it :-) > But like your problem, I always thought you needed the map file. I know my Only if you want more informative error messages in case of a kernel crash. W/o the map file, it´ll give you only a few addresses. Look for System.map in <kernel-source>/Documentation/oops-tracing.txt for more information.
