You may get this to work but I would delete it and do this.
First put the file (Communicator 4.61) that you downloaded from
Netscape.com in /tmp. Then run dselect.
You should select "netscape4" using either dselect or use "apt-get
netscape4"  this will install communicator and eliminate the debian path
problems You will also need the xpm4.7 packages from debian, in order
for netscape to run. Netscape can NOT be run as root!!!!!
