I've been getting that error : "Error on Play Event" from WMSound ever
since I tried running it. I have a properly configured AWE32 card. If
anyone can give me any hints on what is going on, or what the problem is
I'd greatly appreciate it!

FACTS:
1. cat /dev/sndstat returns:
OSS/Free:3.8s2++-971130
Load type: Driver loaded as a module
Kernel: Linux Rankor 2.2.10 #1 Sun Jul 11 14:44:46 EDT 1999 i686
Config options: 0

Installed drivers:

Card config:

Audio devices:
0: Sound Blaster 16 (4.16) (DUPLEX)

Synth devices:
0: AWE32-0.4.3 (RAM2048k)

Midi devices:
0: AWE Midi Emu

Timers:
0: System clock

Mixers:
0: Sound Blaster

2. cat /usr/share/sounds/iagno/gameover.wav > /dev/sndstat plays the sound
correctly.
3. workbone plays CDs correctly.
4. All of the above is true with the user that I am concerned with (which is to
say, I
actually got the sound group working right for me) =)

5. As soon as I run wmsound I get the error, though the program runs. After
that,
every time I try to test sounds with wmss, I get another "Error on Play Event"
message.

If this is terribly trivial, I apologise. I didn't turn up a hit with it in the
archives. =(

TIA,

Jonathan Lupa
