I made an offer on the Free Software Bazaar : see offer n° 990307A at http://visar.csustan.edu/bazaar/bazaar_catoffers.html#system : An "intelligent backup" system for Debian Gnu/Linux, to save backup time and space requirements. This program should not backup those files which came from a packages and which were not modified. It should only record what packages are installed at the time of the backup, files which belong to a package but were modified (configuration files, for instance), and all files which are not part of any package. The apt program should be used to restore the saved system. I invite you to raise my offer if you the idea is interesting. -- Laurent Martelli [EMAIL PROTECTED]
