no, that's about all you need (besides step 1 and 2, selct installation method and update filelist) > that is probably trivial to > an expert but totally incomprehensible to a beginner :( what's going wrong? messed up in depencies? for installing stable debian from cd all you need to do is select packages (+,-) and confirm depencie dialogs (space, return). gerhard
