I have opened Minicom, and I get the NO CARRIER response as soon as it opens. This would be in response to the initialization string that Minicom uses. I can then succesfully send any AT commands after that. Like I said in my orinal post, the problem came about after I upgraded to the 2.2.x kernel. I am going to get off my lazy duff and reinstall a 2.0.36 kernel to see if it was a coincidence or not. Thanks to those who have sent suggestion. More are welcome. -- Paul Miller [EMAIL PROTECTED] Where do all the bits go when the computer is done with them?
